A Very Modern Fairytale
Posted by charley on July 5th, 2008Once upon a time a beautiful young student was working very hard on her essays when she decided to take a little break, after all she had been slaving away with work for a while now and felt it was time to attend to some…well, natural duties. She bounded down the stairs and skipped over the freezing kitchen floor into the bathroom only to be met with a horrifying sight! Someone had sprinkled when they’d tinkled…
The student was speechless, who had left this unsightly message sprawled all over the seat? She could hardly bring herself to reach for the toilet paper and wipe the problem up but her desperation to get her own ‘matters’ done forced it to become a necessity. She sounded the alarm to the other housemates and consulted Google for a way of preventing future ‘natural disasters’ from occurring. Google told the lovely student many tales of such misadventures but they were not the exact same kind, so she trailed through poems and ditties, songs and limericks and eventually decided upon a small rhyme. Furiously typing away, the glamorous (albeit aware she needed to moisturize more often) student produced a neatly typed and colourful sign on a piece of A4 paper. After discussing the matter with another alluring housemate she perfected the reception of the sign and printing it off in a hurry, dug out a tube of glitter glue and decorated the capital letters in a wonderful display of silvery luminescence. Rushing down the stairs again the student neatly taped the shimmery sign onto the bathroom door just at sitting down eye level and returned back to her work, filled with optimism that her sign might save the Waldeck Street Kingdom from complete devastation.
